笨重的浪费 Collection 事件 have been hosted by 克恩县 公共工程 for more than 20 years in the Metro Bakersfield area. 截至2020年, 克恩县 公共工程 has decided to expand its 笨重的浪费/Large Item Collection 事件 to include unincorporated communities to reach residents living in the outlying County areas. 活动期间, residents can bring unwanted bulky household items such as appliances and furniture to a convenient designated location for recycling and disposal. California law states that Electronic 浪费 (E-浪费) must be recycled. Residents may also bring in their E-浪费 to these collection events and any of the County operated facilities. 请参阅有关 电子废物收集方案.

One-Day Household 危险废物 Collection

克恩县 公共工程 sponsors Household 危险废物 Collection 事件, 在边远地区, 每年. During these half-day opportunities, residents have the chance to bring left-over residential hazardous waste for safe and easy disposal/recycling. If you have residential hazardous waste, these locations and dates might be the opportunity you’ve been looking for to get it off your hands and safely out of your home.

Clean California Tire Drop Off 事件

克恩县 公共工程 has partnered with the California Department of 运输 (Caltrans) in their Clean California Initiative to hold Tire Drop Off 事件. 活动期间, residents can bring in tires for 免费的 to the designated County Landfill diversion area(s) until capacity is reached. 查看 Clean California Initiative.

When transporting tires, follow these guidelines:

• Per California law, transport only 9 tires at a time.
• Tires must have rims removed.

• No earthmover/oversized tires.
• To prevent litter, loads must be tarped for transport.
